If your household is anything like mine, then you have your own Christmas traditions that you keep up with every year. You may even make new ones along the way that make the holiday that much more special for you! If you know anything about us, it is that our son is autisitc and LOVES when things stay the same, so we try and keep all of our holiday happenings the same every year!
Tradition 1:
Christmas Eve Boxes: Liam loves these! Every Christmas Eve, all three of us have a box to open. And inside every box is the same thing (just different sorts of those things!
Pajams
Funk Pop
Hot Chocolate
Popcorn
Box of Candy
Christmas Ornament
Stuffed Animal
Tradition 2:
Polar Express Party!
After we open our Christmas Eve boxes, we put on our new pajamas, hang our new ornaments on the tree and sit down to watch the polar express with our hot chocolate, pop corn and candy! It is such a cute thing that he looks forward to and it is one of my favorite movies for Christmas time - so it is a win/win for everyone!
Tradition 3
Snowflake the Elf!
I know that many people throughout the world have adapted this same tradition. Snowflake came into our home when Liam was 2 and he never left! He looks forward to him every Christmas and is always sad when he leaves. He loves the shenanigans that Snowflake gets into and he is the first thing Liam looks for when he wakes up during December.
Needless to say, it is kind of eventful around here during the Christmas holiday!
I would love to know about your Christmas traditions! Be it new ones you have created, or old ones you have carried on through generations. It is such a wonderful holiday for us all!

This is the cutest! We do movie nights throughout the year, but never thought to do it like this! Does your son like any other movies? Maybe the classics? I know those are my favorite, but the children are not so much into them.
I have heard of Christmas Eve boxes before but I absolutely love the way you use yours to segway right into another one of your traditions! That has to be such a cute little party! & hot chocolate is PERFECT! My favorite scene from that movie is the hot chocolate scene!
