I think I am going to love Monday's around here because it is where we will discuss all things movies and television! No movie or show is off the table and we will be reviewing titles over ALLLLLLL of the years! I am an equal oportunist here!

Today we are going to start with The 100. I know I am years behind on this show, but I just finished a complete watch through about 4 months ago and I aready want to watch it all over again! From love interest, to character growth, happiness, story lines, HAPPINESS and even sadness - this show game me everything I needed and some things I never knew I needed! So lets get into it!

I am going to start with Clarke Griffin. When I tell you this one was a roller coaster ride for me! When it comes to how others view her, even those that were her friends in the show, I have noticed it is hit or miss. I, myself, have found that sometimes I like our girl and other times I really questions every single thing about her. I do, however, love the fact that she NEVER once thought about herself when she did things and instead was always thinking about everyone else. I know people thought she was selfish in her choices when it came to "her daughter," but I could see she was making the choices for the girl and not herself. Overall, I loved the girl.

Next up we have Bellamy Blake! I will say that he grew on me IMMEDIATELY! I think I disliked him for maybe 3 episodes, but the more I watched and learned of him, the more he quickly became THAT character for me. He was selfish in the beginning but he believed he had good reason for that. He grew to want the best for everyone and sacraficed himeself more often than not for that. He, and I cannot stress this ehough, DID NOT deserve the ending that he got. I truly believe he had one of the best character arcs of this entire show.

I will tell you upfront, Octavia Blake is my favorite character from this series. I loved EVERY single thing about her. While I know her Bloodraina character was very controversial and she was living her best villan life, I think she did the best she could to find herself again. When she did end up finding herself, she was our Octavia, but with a better understanding of the lives of the others around her. Let's be real, if she was still original Octavia or Bloodraina, she never would have let Clarke live for what she did to Bellamy.

As far as orders of characters go - Raven is #1 for me, followed by Octavia and Clarke. There is nothing I don't like about Raven. She has seen way too much loss in her life, but she is still open to forgiving and loving. Even with the injuryt that happened to her leg, she did not let it stop her from accomplishing anything at all. She turned out to be one of the most valuable people on this team and I honestly feel as though she was the one holding them together most of the time, especially in Clarke's many absences from the group. In the end, I love that she chose to be with them, knowing she'd never be able to change that or find her better half.

I love many things about the character of Lincoln, but I think the thing I connected with the most is that he never compromised who he was, his moral compass or his beliefs. He did not mind being the odd man out if his path made sure he stayed true to himself. Lincoln was on of the first people to realize The Grounders were not an ememy and remained true to them even after what they did to him in the beginning. The love story between him and Octavia is one of my favorites from the series. Even though it was his choice to leave the show, I'll never forgive them for the end of his story. He, as well as Octavia, deserved better than that.

John Murphy was one of those characters who took SEVERAL seasons to grow on me. Once he did though, aside from MAYBE Octavia, he had one of the best self-discovery, character redemption arcs that I have seen. John Murphy was so well written that by the end of this series, you were ANGRY for things that kept happening to someone you swore you would never like. In the end, he cared more about those around him than himself, and for Murphy, that is a triumph all in its own.

I believe that we as a whole, as well as thr group within The 100 did not deserve Jasper. Compared to the rest of them, with maybe the exception of Monty, Jasper was pure and good and didn't deserve all that befell him. He deserved better than the ended he chose for himself, but I can also argue that he found peace somewhere. Peace that he deserved. He wanted more than just surviving day by day. He wanted his happy ending, and I like to think that he got it somehow.

Monty was one of the few people in this show, aside from probably Jasper and Lincoln who wanted to stay as true to himself as possible. Monty was always trying to do good, no matter the circumstances. Harper was everything he needed to level him out and to keep his mind as pure as his heart. I absolutely love that they got to live out their love story and even have a child. He always made sure to be & do better.

I want to make a special note that I was going to add Marcus, Finn, Jaha, Abby and Diyoza to this list as well - but I figured this was long enough already! I picked those 5 because they made the biggest impact on me.
Have you seen The 100? Have some thoughts you want to share on the subject? Let me know! I love talking to others about things that we share a common interest in!
I do have to say, it took my husband convincing me to watch this as well! I have to admit, Murphy is one of my favorite characters! His story progression, the progression from villain to loveable and the fact that he FINALLY realized that everyone's life was worth it, not just his - made me root for him when others had long since stopped. Jasper hurt my heart, but I understood. Octavia is one of my favorites and I am so glad you mentioned Diyoza because I feel as though she is a very underrated character but had some amazing growth into someone we loved! I really want to go and rewatch this now!
